U-Space Berlin has been nominated for the Klimaschutzpartner des Jahres 2026 award in the category “Innovative Planning” within Sustainable Mobility.
The nomination recognizes the “U-Space Health” use case, which explores climate-friendly drone operations for transporting laboratory samples and other time-critical medical goods.
Developed as part of the urban real-world laboratory supported by the Berlin Senate, the project demonstrates how unmanned aviation can be safely integrated into urban logistics—achieving over 90% reduction in CO₂ emissions, more than 20% lower transport costs, and up to 60% faster delivery times.
